Nippon Steel Transportation Co., Ltd. understands the importance and urgency for the preservation of global environment through the daily business activities as a constituent member of earth, society and enterprises, aiming to create better environment and take prompt actions.

Action guideline

1.	We establish an environmental management system for preservation of environment, and operate, maintain and improve it through all the business activities.
2.	We understand, manage and comply with legal requirements concerning environment, and prevent environmental pollution, improve the environment and create more pleasant environment.
3.	We positively promote the modal shift, understanding the need of the times to preserve global environment.
4.	In the transportation division, we thoroughly practice "Earth-friendly logistics" through energy-saving drive, defensive drive and well-mannered drive.
5.	In the recycling division, we positively promote the enhancement of operation and improvement of equipment through intensive care not to allow "spill, leak or litter up".
6.	In the headquarters, we collect information necessary for environmental activities and convey it thoroughly to the company employees, as well as making efforts in creative environmental activities by ourselves.
7.	We promote education and training of environmental preservation to every employee, in order to create a culture of being conscious about environment pleasant to live and work.
